New Diploma in Participatory Health Research

A new postgraduate diploma in Participatory Health Research is commencing Autumn 2025. The UL School of Medicine Participatory Health Research Unit is launching this new blended learning one-year part-time postgraduate diploma. Increasingly funding agencies require health researchers to have public and patient involvement (PPI) on their projects to secure funding. Researchers now need to demonstrate that they have skills in this particular area. This new program is relevant to early and experienced researchers covering introductory and specialised topics. The course leaders are Prof Anne McFarlane and Associate Prof John Salzburg. Further details on this course can be found here. Details of HSE funding for postgraduate training can be obtained from the Learning and Development Unit – claire.oleary@hse.ie.
